Mark Gaiero builds steel-string acoustic guitars in Portland, OR, USA.

He works independently as the owner of Gaiero Guitars.

Background

My development as a craftsman began on film sets in Los Angeles and took root in the workshops of Laika Studios, where I designed and built stop-motion puppet armatures for 10 years.

From 2016-2019, I was fortunate to study as an apprentice to master luthier Ervin Somogyi. The experience fundamentally altered my perception of the acoustic guitar and left an indelible mark on my work.

I now offer custom guitars built by hand in my Portland, Oregon workshop. My aim is to create an instrument that will continually inspire you to play, whether in the studio, on stage, or at home.
