Mada Guitars

Adam Wehsely-Swiczinsky master (mind) of madaguitars is a renown austrian industrial designer, luthier, composer and musician from Vienna Austria. Adam began to study luthery in Los Angeles in 1991 with the support of John Carruthers and Big Jim of Carruthers guitars. During his industrial design diploma thesis in 2000 at the university of applied arts in vienna he developed a design and construction of acoustic instruments with hemp-cellulosis bodies. In 2007, he started a collaboration with master of lluthery Andreas Neubauer to develop a market-oriented semiaustic guitar out of the hemp-cellulosis material (hempstone). Mada Caimes and Sab were the result. Ten years later, in 2017, he took the master’s examination as luthier. Adam specialized on making sustainable guitars. He uses only local woods from the city of vienna and surrounding and his special, the hempstone guitars.
