Description of this instrument for sale
Miguel Cabezas is a luthier based in Burgos, our hometown. He's been working for us for over 20 years doing all kins of repairs (including some that looked straight impossible to do).
Miguel has also been building classical and flamenco guitars for around 25 years now with a unique approach.
While firmly based on the Spanish tradition of guitar lutherie, he soon started to experiment with different materials and imaginative ways to solve problems.
This led him to use carbon fiber on some model, zero fret, electric guitar tuners, non standard neck shapes or head plates.
After all these years and lots of nice guitars under his belt, Miguel Cabezas is now building his best instruments ever and we are proud to have a few at the shop to show you. These are all ready to be shipped and include a hardcase so international shipping is not a problem at all.
This instrument is a perfect example of his Classical series of guitars. It has a strong and authoritative voice with exceptional balance between the singing highs and the deep lows. The low end is actually incredible.
Huge dynamic range and just perfect playability. This guitar easily rivals those costing 2-3 times as much.
The neck on this guitar is probably the slimmest we've ever seen on a classical guitar. It is particularly suited for those with small hands or some sort of injury where a traditional neck would be a problem. After testing it, we wonder why other luthiers don't go this way too. It is an absolute joy yo play.
Tuners are actually Gotoh electric guitar tuners from Japan. The rato is 20:1 so tuning this guitar is incredibly easy and accurate. Again, we feel these outperform even the best classical guitar tuners in the market.
This is not a new guitar but it has not been played at all. This is the story: Miguel built it for us a few years ago and we decided not to sell it. It's been at the shop ever since and some players have tested it and wanted to buy it but we always said no and ordered a different guitar for them. The guitar shows a couple of dings and the lacquer is slightly checkered which in our opinion make this guitar look really cool. Now we are selling it because we need to move some stuff at the shop. We think someone should really enjoy this guitar.
You just pay for the best tone woods and workmanship here. No fancy names.
Back and sides: Indian Rosewood
Neck: Honduras cedar
Gotoh Tuners and closed head plate
Buy it and enjoy it for a lifetime.
