Swiss School of Violin Making

Situated in the heart of Switzerland, the Swiss School of Violin Making in Brienz represents a modern training place communicating traditional techniques and the use of innovative technologies. It is our vision to prepare young violin makers for their future challenges and to maintain and develop our traditional profession.

Our three to four-year training at the violin making school in Brienz is state-approved and leads to a degree of violin maker with federal certificate of proficiency. Two to three apprenticeship places become available every year.

Moreover we offer a limited number of course spots in our branch courses to external participants. The courses are held by designated specialists. The offer is directed at professional violin makers who would like to acquire additional skills or freshen up their knowledge in selected fields of violin making.
