Description

Born in Padua, Carlo Costantini moved to Cremona almost ten years ago, attracted by the art of violin making. He studied at the International Violin Making School, where he graduated in 2020, specializing in restoration after having learned different construction methods, theoretical foundations, and varnishing techniques.

During his final year of studies and after graduation, he honed his skills by working in various violin making workshops between Cremona and Brescia, gaining valuable practical experience and refining his craftsmanship.

Driven by the desire to expand his theoretical knowledge of music, organology, and science, he enrolled in the University Course of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Pavia, focusing on the conservation of musical and scientific instruments.

His aim is to merge refined craftsmanship with a solid cultural and scientific background, constantly striving to evolve as a luthier and to create instruments of ever higher quality.
