Lagan Lutherie School

At Lagan Lutherie School you will be taught how to build a stringed instrument by our expert luthiers who have more than 20 years of experience. Whether it's a guitar (acoustic or electric), mandolin, bouzouki or lyre, at our school you will have a very fine instrument by the end of one of our courses. Our goal is not just to help you build one guitar, but to give you the skills to continue developing as an instrument maker. Class sizes are kept small and manageable so that each student can be guided not just as a group, but individually based on their own progress. Students are also encouraged to be creative with their instrument in terms of decoration (time permitting).

You can choose a full-time course (blocks of 5/6 weeks) and local students can choose to build part-time on days which suit them.
