Dodd Lutherie is a father and son run business specialising in the making of lutes and other traditional plucked string instruments. We are based in the UK.

Our main specialism is lute family instruments including renaissance lutes, baroque lutes, theorbos, mandolini etc. We also offer other instruments including baroque guitars, vihuelas, Anglo-Saxon lyres etc.

We accept orders for bespoke instruments and are able to respond to your unique requirements as a player. All of our lutes are individually made by hand using traditional methods in our workshop.
