The Alberti Foret

A 21st Century Foret

Bowed drills have become modern and efficient machines with the production of our uniquely designed foret. Stalk mounting of the drill body to our bench clamp frame allows the foret to be easily adjusted in height and rotated on the stalk, while providing a mounting point for our favorite moffitt 40-watt worklight. Moving the drive pulley to the outside of the spindle assembly frees the bow from the frame without unstringing. We have designed an adjustable-depth stop that doubles as a guard to reduce bloodshed from gored hands and elbows, and is easily swung clear of the bit.

The precision spindle runs in ball bearings and can be fitted with your choice of chucks. The provided bow is constructed with a stainless steel frame and leather-wrapped aluminum handle with string tension adjuster. The easily changed string is monofilament weed cutter nylon. The spindle rotates about four turns per stroke and is fitted with a precision keyless 3/8″ or 1/2″ chuck.

This tool is as solid and precise as a hand tool can get. And it just feels great to use.

The Alberti Foret does not include the lamp pictured in the photo. We regret that we are not able to offer the lamp at this time, but we intend to do so in the future.
