Every Ryer guitar is meticulously hand crafted with uncompromising standards.
About Dave
I began working with stringed instruments in the 1980s doing repair work for local music stores where close, hands-on work with well-used instruments built a practical understanding of materials, structure and feel.
Today, tone, balance, and volume guide every guitar I build, shaping an expressive, resonant voice. A gently elevated neck with a subtle twist and an evenly carved profile create a natural, comfortable feel in the hand. Carefully chosen woods and details give each instrument a visual character that reflects its sound. I build only a few guitars each year. Classical guitars are my main focus but I enjoy building steel stringed guitars as well. No matter what I build, each is crafted to inspire creativity and bring the simple pleasure of playing.
