Guitare Archtop/Flatback

Guitare à table voutée (épicéa Suisse) sculpté manuellement et fond plat (Ziricote). Manche en érable flammé, touche en Ziricote, chevalet (Ziricote) réglable par cale en biseau, Sillets en ivoire, cordier laiton/Ziricote à attache verticale, micro Kent Armstrong (Handwound 12 poles) avec réglages de volume et tonalité sous le pickguard (carbone plaqué loupe de Marronnier). Deux ouvertures décalées (table et éclisse supérieure). Plaquages en loupe d'érable, Ziricote et Sapelli, filets en palissandre. Mécaniques Schaller DaVinci, incrustations en nacre verte (table et fond), argent, ivoire, turquoise, ébène. Diapason 648mm, largeur au sillet (ivoire) 42mm, radius touche de 12", frettes en inox. Cordes filets plats. Vernis polyuréthane brillant (table, manche et tête) et mat sur le reste de l'instrument. Étui semi-rigide en cuir.

Cette Archtop, basée sur un contour de Gibson vintage, offre une alternative à mi-chemin entre une guitare acoustique et électrique. Pièce unique, elle bénéficie d'une construction qui reprend les standards de la guitare Jazz traditionnelle (table sculptée, pas de pan coupé) et une lutherie contemporaine, notamment les double éclisses. La liaison manche/corps à la 14eme frette la rend parfaitement adaptée aux jeux accompagnement-soliste, le profil du manche étant d'un confort très abouti.

L'ergonomie de la guitare, avec ses dimensions très compactes, est parfaite. Cette construction, toute en finesse et élégance, laisse s'exprimer la beauté des essences choisies avec soin - notamment le spectaculaire Ziricote - et des détails d'ornement incrustés qui font la part belle aux matériaux précieux.

Archtop/Flatback Guitar 

Hand-carved arched top guitar (Swiss spruce) with a flat back (ziricote). Flamed maple neck, ziricote fingerboard, adjustable ziricote bridge with a wedge, ivory nut and saddle, brass/ziricote tailpiece with vertical attachment, Kent Armstrong 12-pole handwound pickup with volume and tone controls under the pickguard (chestnut burl-veneered carbon fiber). Two offset soundholes (top and upper body). Maple burl, ziricote, and sapele veneers, rosewood binding. Schaller DaVinci tuners, inlays of green mother-of-pearl (top and back), silver, ivory, turquoise, and ebony. 648mm scale length, 42mm nut width (ivory), 12" fingerboard radius, stainless steel frets. Flatwound strings. Gloss polyurethane finish (top, neck and headstock) and matte finish on the rest of the instrument. Semi-rigid leather case.

This archtop, based on a vintage Gibson contour, offers an alternative halfway between an acoustic and electric guitar. A unique piece, it benefits from a construction that combines the standards of the traditional jazz guitar (carved top, no cutaway) with contemporary craftsmanship, notably the double-sided construction. The neck joint at the 14th fret makes it perfectly suited for both accompaniment and lead playing, with a highly comfortable neck profile.

The guitar's ergonomics, with its very compact dimensions, are perfect.
