Description

I trained at the Newark School of Violin Making in the UK and have spent my career making and restoring violin family instruments in England, Hong Kong, Canada and the US. I have taught violin making at Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, MN, and violin set-up and repair in the many locales I have visited through my non-profit work with Luthiers sans Frontieres USA. I am always looking to learn and expand my skill sets and horizons, by frequently attending violin makers' workshops in Oberlin, Ashland and Vermillion, and the Violin Society of America's conventions. As a freelance cellist, I am in touch with the needs of the working musician. Every instrument that leabes my workshop is lovingly made by hand, from the initial design to the colours in the varnish.
