Whitney Guitars is a boutique luthiery based in Summerland, British Columbia, focused on hand-crafted Gypsy Jazz and steel-string acoustic guitars for discerning musicians and collectors. Built in small numbers, each instrument is shaped with a singular focus on clarity of voice, immediacy of response, and refined, purposeful design.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for traditional Gypsy Jazz construction, including heat-pressed pliage, lightweight soundboards, and precise voicing — elements that produce the projection, articulation, and attack the style demands. My steel-string guitars are built with the same intent: responsive, balanced instruments that reward nuance and dynamic touch.

Every Whitney guitar is built start to finish in my workshop, with careful tonewood selection, hand-shaped components, and close attention to voicing, structure, and detail. The result is an instrument that feels alive in the hands — honest, expressive, and built to be played deeply and owned for a lifetime.
