Description
Flaxwood is an ecological alternative to wood species used in traditional instrument building.
Tone material is created by breaking the grain structure of natural wood and injection-molding it to shape combined with an acoustically sensitive binding agent.
Acoustic consistency and uniformly flawless quality are one of the many benefits compared to those of natural wood.
The raw material used by Flaxwood originates from the fir trees of the northern forests, from areas where the quality of sustainable forestry is ensured.
It is free of irregularities and variances in composition, such as the irregular grain and knots found in traditional tonewoods. The acoustic response of Flaxwood wood fiber composites is such that it resonates consistently, with no death spots and gives an even, dynamic response throughout the guitar’s range. Flaxwood is also completely unaffected by ubrubt changing in temperature, and humidity, making it a more reliable tone material in the constantly changing conditions of everyday use.
