CUSTOM-MADE FLAMENCO GUITAR

A guitar made especially for Al di Meola. The design was based on a story which Al told about his grandfather leaving Italy through an ancient door, hence: “La Porta”. The design of the headstock was taken from and inspired by the design of the ancient stone-decorated wooden door through which his grandfather departed.

Al di Meola also needed easy access to the higher level of the fretboard, hence the extreme deep cutaway on this custom flamenco guitar.
