My philosophy is to build only flagship models 😊 But maybe I‘ll vote for model “Stochelo Rosenberg“

Stankevičius Guitars Interview – According to you, what is the most impactful thing in the instument sound ? The woods ? the building technique ? what should a buyer ask for when he want to order an instrument when he was to be sure he is ordering the right instrument for him?

Just have the proper deflection\stiffness tests on the top, have a nice wood and build everything as accurate, as possible.

Nature will solve other things.

I say to each customer, that ordering a custom guitar is a big risk, cause you never know how it will sound in the end. So the buyer should ask for controlled specs of the instruments.

Stankevičius Guitars Interview – For a custom instrument, can you explain your process? What are your average delays? And how do you advise your customer? What questions do you ask him so that his instrument is perfectly adapted to his expectations?

I‘m really nerdy about all the details, my custom order list is a 3 pages of questions.

Sometimes planing guitar could take up to half a year and usually some accidental ideas are coming during the building.

I advise customers to dream and pick up different pictures on the internet to explain their expectations.

So the average delay (also because of running a fulltime repair shop) is around 6-9 month.

Luthiers.com brings together luthiers from all over the world. According to you, how is your home country lutherie different?

Lithuania is super small and we have just a few builders. I think the level of quality is exceptional!

Where can we buy your instruments? Can we try them somewhere? Will you participate to some guitar shows ?

And the moment I have the last stock instrument at Mundo Luthier (Zaragoza, Spain) all other guitars are custom ordered. I‘ve switched a little more on the repair shop at the moment, so probably no shows for upcoming year. But for sure I‘m not going to leave it like that 😊
