For those of you who don’t know you yet, can you tell us about your company. Is it a family business or not? How many employees do you have? Do you have any specialties as a Wood & Supplies Dealer? Do you do anything other than ToneWood? And, as we are on Luthiers.com, do you play an instrument? (if yes, which one or which ones, if there are several of you?)
We are a family business who has been in the Timber industry for many decades.
We operate out of Tasmanian which is a little Island off the bottom of the bigger Island-Australia.
Our specialties are mainly Tasmanian native species Tonewood (please see our website: https://www.tasmanianacoustictonewood.com.au) with a select range of other well known species available too.
Our focus is primarily on Tonewood for guitar back, sides and soundboards.
This range keeps us busy enough though we may have or can source just about anything a Luthier may need in Tassie species. – Always happy to help 😉
I actually play the drums and like to dabble in a bit of Jazz/rock drumming while waiting for our Tonewood to season.
I also have two beautifully made Tasmanian Blackwood Ukuleles and a Tasmanian Blackwood Banjo.
