Theo, you are very well-known for your Archtop guitars: how does the flamenco fit in?
I have build classical guitars mainly in my first 20 years of guitar making. And became quite well-known with them also.
But gradually my love for the Archtop became stronger and stronger.
So there was a slightly shift in my daily work.
However I always loved many guitar music such as flamenco.
And one day I had the opportunity to do a Flamenco for a concert with the great Daniel Casares. An incredible flamenco player from Spain. He performed that guitar on a concert in Berlin. Then there was a national broadcast about guitarmakers in the Netherlands. The flamenco player who got this guitar wanted to do something special.
He reminded a piece of Art made by Picasso displayed at the MoMa in NY.
And I used some of the design specs of the famous Picasso piece.
I made two of them now and one is available for Sale now.
This guitar is owned by a friend of mine and collector who owns three guitar of mine but he mainly plays his Oval Hole Archtop now.
Another Flamenco of mine is owned by Al di Meola and part of his private collection.

Theo, What woods are being used in your Flamenco Guitars?
I prefer to use cypress for the back and sides which helps me to get closer to the dryer tone I prefer.
Of course orders would be taken for other woods as well.
But the guitar for sale has old stock Cypress back and sides.
